Where will the Red Arrows fly this bank holiday weekend after returning to the UK?

After a brief hiatus, the Red Arrows have finally returned to the UK and are ready to continue their daredevil air displays.

The Red Arrows were originally scheduled to make an appearance at the Eastbourne International Airshow earlier this month, but were forced to cancel after completing a tour of the US and getting stranded in Canada.

After returning to the UK for several shows and flying to Sweden for a two-day display in Linköping, the pilots are ready to stun the nation with a number of events scheduled over the busy, and what looks to be rainy, bank holiday weekend.

But where will they be flying this week?

Today, the pilots will be finishing their second show at the popular Clacton Airshow in Essex.

Before the display, the RAF jet pilots will reportedly leave RAF Waddington at just after midday, before landing an hour later at RAF Mildenhall, where they’ll later begin their display.

From there, the team will depart for Essex around 4.50pm, passing over Thetford and beginning their show over Clacton at 5pm.

After sweeping along the coast, the pilots will head south of Clacton for 5.23pm before traveling towards Colchester and returning to RAF Mildenhall for 5.30pm.

As well as the Red Arrows, the Clacton Airshow will also feature a memorial flight display for the Battle of Britain, marking the 90th anniversary of the Spitfire’s last flight.

Sidmouth Regatta and Airshow

The Red Arrows pilots are also scheduled to make an appearance at the Sidmouth Regatta and Airshow in Devon, where they will close the show.

The stunt team will be in the skies above the coast between 6.30pm and 7.10pm.

Although this year’s official flight path hasn’t been confirmed, if it’s similar to last year’s, the pilots will likely fly over Exeter, South Molton, and then towards the coast of Sidmouth before returning to Exeter.

The Sidmouth Regatta and Airshow includes displays from other aircraft groups, including Stampe Display Team, Rich Goodwin’s Jet Pitts Muscle Plane, the Aerosuperbatics Wing Walkers Duo, and the Navy Wings.

Bringing the Red Arrows’ weekend display to a close will be their events at the Southport Airshow.

The pilots are scheduled to perform tomorrow and on Sunday. The flight path hasn’t been unveiled, but the daredevil team is scheduled to begin their display at 3.30pm on both days.

The Red Arrows will be followed by the Battle of Britain Memorial flight on Saturday at 4pm, and by a display from a Eurofighter Typhoon on Sunday, also at 4pm.

Where else are the Red Arrows flying this year?

After Sunday’s Southport Airshow display, the Red Arrows will be taking a brief hiatus before making a few appearances in Scotland and embarking on another tour.

The pilots will make stops at Guernsey, Cambridge, Belgium, Czechia, and France before making one final stop in Cambridge for the IWM Duxford Flying Finale.

After that, the Red Arrows aren’t scheduled to return until 2027 – but there are still plenty of events you can catch them in the meantime.
